Thanks to GOP, Corporate Giants Are Stealing From American Education

Take a moment and consider this- you, as an American citizen, live in a country that was founded on equality, fairness, opportunity, and freedom from unfair taxing practices. What on Earth happened to that? In the average day-to-day routine, you wake up, pound your alarm clock, roll out of bed, stumble into a shower and then into clothes, you go to work, and you pay your taxes? not everyone plays by the rules though.

For Apple CEO Timothy Cook, his day begins much the same way, sure, he may roll out of a four-post California King bed wrapped in silk and authentic Egyptian cotton, he may hit an alarm clock far fancier than yours, and the designer tag on the suit he steps into probably costs more than your car-?the biggest difference isn?t even the $377,996,537 salary, (Accounting for stock value.) No, dear friends, the biggest factor dividing you, from him, is that you pay all your taxes, while Timothy Cook and Apple Corp. on the other hand, do not.

Apple, despite being by far the most prolific criminal organization in the field of tax evasion in America history, (Avoiding more than the combined National Science Foundation and Small Business Administration budgets combined last year.) still fervently defends itself, with Cook quoted as saying, ?We pay all the taxes we owe- every single dollar.? Another Apple executive chimed in, ?We shouldn?t be criticized for using Chinese workers. The U.S. has stopped producing people with the skills we need.? This isn?t surprising in any way though, considering Apple isn?t alone, and that last year the combined monetary worth evaded from the 32 greatest tax offenders would have been enough to pay the ENTIRE Federal Education budget for 2013.

It?s apparent however that birds of a feather DO flock together though, as Whole Foods co-founder John Mackey put it, ?It?s not Apple?s fault that they?re seeking to avoid paying taxes. They?re not lying, cheating or stealing. They?re following the rules that were created by governments. If the government doesn?t like the rules, they can change them.? Now, to put our heads together for a moment, why do we have these loopholes, and faulty regulations in the first place? Our survey says: Congress Republicans. As was made public last year, Governor?Romney payed?7% less taxes than his secretary, who made several figures less than him by abusing these same loopholes. Governor?Tom Corbett of my home state of Pennsylvania gave BILLIONS in subsidies to big business last year while slashing funding for education- and it?s not as though these are the outcasts, the extremists, or the outliers in any way. This tends to be run of the mill affairs for Congress billionaires. Why does it have to be this way?

The simple answer is greed, lack of dedication to the American public, and lack of empathy-?the long answer delves deeply into the legal ramifications of pork barrel politics with last-minute?additions to bills adding these kind of secret passages to tax-free offshore accounts, and huge deductions for ?charitable donations? that never go anywhere. No matter what answer you pick, the people being hurt most are us. Average American citizens, victimized by big business giants like Pfizer and Apple?s criminal policies, and Republican lobbying to keep it that way. Sorry John Mackey, but it isn?t that easy- you can?t just change policy when the GOP spends all it?s energy working to oppose any form of progress towards fair taxation.

Watch the video below, in regards to Apple?s foreign policy:
